Patmos è la più settentrionale delle isole del Dodecaneso, nell’Egeo meridionale.
Per raggiungerla per via aerea, poiché non è dotata di aeroporto, si può volare ad Atene (Aeroporto Internazionale di Atene) o su una delle isole vicine del Dodecaneso (Kos, Rodi, Leros e Kalymnos) o delle Cicladi (Mykonos) esistendo, in questo caso, un traghetto che la collega direttamente a Patmos (Hellenic Seaways).

La motonave NISSOS KALYMNOS percorre tre volete alla settimana la tratta Kalymnos, Leros, Patmos, Samos e viceversa. Raggiunge anche le piccole e graziose Arki, Lipsi e Agathonissi.
La motonave PATMOS STAR collega (tre volte a settimana circa), Patmos con Leros passando per Lipsi.
